HAPPY OCTOBER THE 1ST!
It is hard to believe that September has already come to an end,
I've enjoyed reading books, sharing some recipes and meeting some new friends.
I hope that some of you have enjoyed the Southern related posts,
I certainly had fun sharing and being the host.
I really want to host this challenge next year,
So, I hope that some of you will join me again next September here.
Now that we have reached the last day of the challenge related to the Southern Belle-
I want to share with you some of the Southern related books that others thought were swell......
Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell
Stiltsville by Susanna Daniel
The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
Fried Green Tomotoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe by Fannie Flagg
My Summer of Southern Discomfort by Stephanie Gayle

The Southern Belles of Honeysuckle Way by Linda Bruckheimer
On Folly Beach by Karen White

Miss Hildreth Wore Brown by Olivia deBelle Byrd
G.R.I.T.S. by Deborah Ford
One Summer by David Baldacci
A Sound Among the Trees by Susan Meissner
Southern Fried Women by Pamela King Cable
Thank you to all the people that participated in the challenge. This was the first time that I hosted one. Please give me some suggestions for next year. If you read any books, that aren't listed please let me know. I want to thank Amy for all her sweet comments and I hope that Gwendolyn is enjoying rereading Gone With the Wind!
I now have so many Southern based books that I will be reading them throughout the year to get ready for next year. The month of September proved to be a challenge as we had a family crisis and at the same time got a new puppy. Somehow, someway I posted every day!
Until next time, keep reading a good book with a tall glass of sweetened iced tea darlin'.......

I also read One Summer by David Baldacci and A Sound Among the Trees by Susan Meissner. I am almost finished with Southern Fried Women by Pamela King Cable which I am enjoying very much! I didn't know if there was a linky to post the reviews on. This was a fun challenge. Thanks for hosting it. Thanks to this challenge, I have many new Southern fiction titles to explore.
Thanks for hosting this fun challenge Brenda! I met my goal for the challenge, so I'm very happy. I really enjoyed reading all your "southern" posts. Here's the link to my wrap up post...
